This route was the path used by the inhabitants of this valley to reach Levicán and Puerto Ibáñez in search of provisions and food, as well as to move their livestock during the summer and winter seasons. Today, it is still used by some of the few remaining residents in the area. The route goes from the shores of General Carrera Lake to nearby mountain valleys near Cerro Castillo, passing through old estates, pristine locations, rivers, streams, native forests, and ancient trails used by the people of the Avellano region—a secluded and unique place.

This horseback journey offers the opportunity to interact with locals, connect with nature, and bond with our horses over several days. During this time, you will learn to live and develop camping techniques with horses in a dynamic environment. The expedition is conducted in a self-sustainable manner, meaning that participants carry their own equipment and food throughout the entire journey. The team takes care of meals and saddling/unsaddling the horses, but participants are welcome to contribute if they wish.

This valley is a hidden gem in the Aysén Region. It connects from Lapparen Lake (near Cerro Castillo), venturing into the mountainous valleys towards General Carrera Lake, ultimately ending at the Levicán Peninsula, a small village near Puerto Ingeniero Ibáñez.

This horseback journey offers the opportunity to connect with nature along a route not frequently traveled, providing the sensation of being in remote places, accompanied only by our horses for several days.

Throughout these days, you will learn to live and develop camping techniques with horses in a dynamic and challenging environment. We will traverse pristine areas with rivers, forests, and trails used by the inhabitants of the Avellano region.

The approach for this expedition is self-sustainable, meaning we carry our own food and source products from locals, with whom we will share a typical barbecue during the journey.
